The "C" Class is Amazing Fun for the Entire Family!!
Jul 1 2008, 12:14 PM EDT
When I was first learning to drive many years ago, I had a 68' Camero. Part of the fun of that car was it would break down all the time leaving me stranded. What's a kid to do beside fix his car and find people to help... My Mercedes C240 2003 brings me back to those funs days when I had nothing better to do but fix my car and meet new people while stranded on roads.
It's so frustrating waiting for my Mercedes to get out of the repair shop. I just can't wait to wrap my hands around the luxurious leather wheel, press on the accelerator and stall-out mid way between where I am and my destination. The only bummer is owning a cell; makes it too easy to call for a wrecker. So, throw your cell in the trash and plan a long trip in your Mercedes, you won't regret the adventure you'll have.

I'm now 20K into my 2nd C class. My first (1998 C230) was an absolutely amazing car. Never in the shop other than regular service. Totally dependable, great on gas, and the ride was Benz comfort all the way. I needed 4WD, so I traded in (great trade value too by the way) and got a C280 which blows me away every time I get in it. Power, style, agility, comfort, silent ride, killer stereo. I see these "lemon" posts and have to wonder what the problem is. Service is a big deal with these cars--the specs are very demanding, so don't skimp on that. Other than that, everyone makes lemons, so maybe those that buy them tend to complain more; or maybe they're just driving them hard and complaining when they need more attention than other cars.
I'll never buy anything else--MB is the top of the food chain for my needs.
