On May 19, 2007, Blizzard announced that they are working on the sequel of Starcraft. It's almost been 10 years, but the game has still remained popular with the fans. Starcraft is one of the most successful RTS games ever, with millions of players worldwide. Starcraft 2 is currently in alpha, and no official release date are set.

Some known fearures:

• The same three playable races as in the original game Terran, Zerg and Protoss.
• Many new units, but also a lot of old ones with new abilities.
• Blizzard are putting a lot of focus on the multiplayer part of the game, aiming to make it the "ultimate competitive real-time strategy game"
